THE ORDER

Difficulty: Medium Hard
Group Size: 2-10

Long suspected, but never confirmed, since the time of the Ancient Greeks wealthy men and women have gathered secretly in lavish, smoky private dens to manipulate the levers of power. Their ranks have included at least twenty US presidents, prominent writers, heroes, traitors, and revolutionists. Shrouded in secrecy, their influence has brought down governments, installed despots, and started world wars. Many have even suspected their power to be supernatural or influenced by the occult.

As the great-great-grandchild of an oil tycoon, your pedigree has offered you a membership into the most secretive and selective society in the world. Few even suspect their existence as they have never acknowledged members or accepted credit for their far reaching influence.

The members of The Loyal Order of the Sons of Ares infiltrate other secret societies to sway the balance of power through absolute secrecy.

They worship Phobos and Deimos, the twin Sons of the Greek God Ares. In fact, it is well documented one of the Order’s first and founding members, Alexander the Great, offered ritual sacrifices to Phobos on the eve of the Battle of Gaugamela. Through Deimos, God of terror and dread, and Phobos, God of panic, flight, and rout, The Loyal Order of the Sons of Ares enacts an agenda of chaos and disorder throughout the world. They do so believing fear is an essential component to holding society together and maintaining The Order’s power. The Sons of Ares have now turned their sites on the US and seek to destroy our democracy by growing chaos and distrust.

Despite what your great-great-grandparent and Son's of Ares may have had in mind, you were raised by a trauma nurse and a high school economics teacher and chaos and hegemony are not part of YOUR agenda. In fact, you’ve decided to single-handedly take The Order down. You’ve come to the DC area on the night of the primary to infiltrate the ritual room of the Loyal Order of the Sons of Ares.  Via the Law Offices of Wolfram and Lyon, a powerful super PAC conveniently located across the street from Fairfax’s historic City Hall, the Sons of Ares have plans to place the names of their newest recruits on the primary ballot. You have only sixty minutes to sabotage their ritual, expose their treachery, and steal the tampered ballot before the big election.
